I am having a difficulty understanding what the difference is between artificial intelligence and algorithms. Is all artificial intelligence some sort of algorithm? And are algorithms essentially just simpler or more complex forms of algorithms? Hope someone can help, I am learning

Algorithms are the building blocks for AI.

I’m not sure how easily I can answer it, as I seem to have a rough understanding of algorithms in and of them self: I think where my confusion is between algorithm and and what they call “pseudo code”.
Artificial Intelligence, at least as I imagine it, is composed of multiple different algorithms and subroutines.
