Something I’ve noted is the technology to have robots grow hair has been right under our nose, it’s just not typically used for social robots.
Chia Pets have been around for a few years, but you can simply modify what the hair grows out of, and simply have the thing that grows hair, have servos and actuators to account for realistic movement. Getting it to work on Real Love Doll type thing might be a bit of a challenge though.
Also experimenting with combining multiple chatscripts ( see topics ), and have them launched with machine learning as a back end.
