SingularityNET Partners with DeepBrain Chain to Create an Open & Democratic AI Future

We’re joining forces to allow the sharing of data and processing services between our two platforms.

While solving different AI challenges via blockchain, each organization will combine forces with the goal of democratizing access to artificial intelligence algorithms.

As concerns grow over AI algorithms being controlled by a few tech giants and world governments, the SingularityNET team has been working diligently with the goal of creating:

  1. A decentralized network of powerful AI agents providing practical AI services in every domain
  2. A community of AI developers and users participating in the development of network services

Today, we’re proud to announce a new partnership with DeepBrain Chain, a blockchain-driven AI computing platform.

Through this partnership, the teams at SingularityNET and DeepBrain Chain will be collaborating to create a framework to allow the sharing of data and processing services between our two decentralized platforms, combining the two marketplaces and expanding the available amount of computing power to create and train powerful AI models and agents at scale.

The primary goal will be to allow users to access data and intelligent processing on either platform, via back-end interactions between the platforms.

“The key here is to foster the expansion and growth of AI in a more decentralized manner. Society is concerned about a potential future in which the centralization of data and AI processing places huge power in the hands of a few large tech firms. Our goal is to bring about a decentralized AI ecosystem, in which AI services offered by multiple projects interoperate together in a decentralized manner — resulting in general intelligence that is both powerful and participatory.” — SingularityNET CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel

By merging forces, we believe our path towards a decentralized AI future is significantly strengthened. We look forward to updating you on our progress.

“Data is one of the most important keys to creating infallible AI models, and the combining of the DeepBrain Chain and SingularityNET marketplaces is an important step in creating a large decentralized platform of tools for users to access” — DeepBrain Chain CEO He Yong.

About DeepBrain Chain

DeepBrain Chain pulls together millions of nodes from across the world through its distributed and decentralized blockchain platform, helping AI companies save up to 70% of computing power costs. The use of smart contracts creates a secure data training and transaction environment where data providers and data buyers can freely trade data.

That is great news. DeepBrain Chain is solid project.

Awesome! I’ve invested in both and also invested in NEO.

Great news!

Does this mean that all DBC users, will use SingularityNets marketplace, and therefore use the AGI token?

I am quite curious how practically the cooperation will works when SingularityNET is on Ethereum blockchain and Deepbrain Chain on NEO blockchain.

I have never really took the time to check out DBC, only seeing it as a sub par SNet competitor. But it is a solid project.
Great news for everyone !

From my perspective and understanding… DBC will provide the power to run the AI agents/services and AGI will provide the AI agents and services, rigth?

That is what I am thinking too.

Not quite. The processing power required to train AI, or to perform the functions required to identify fit, etc. are pretty processor intensive. They are also better executed by a different sort of processor - GPUs tend have better architectures for this, specific ASICs better still (Google TPUs for instance). Actually running the AI is usually less intensive (depends on what it is, of course). DBC provides processing for the former. Hosting for the latter is up to the agent’s owner. They can host it on their smart watch if they please.
